Deer in Glen Etive

Here's some of the locals I bumped into yesterday. After spotting two on the hillside I dropped down into the glen where they were everywhere.

Funny you should say that. Some days they get the slightest whiff of you and they're off.

Other days you can wander about amongst them.

I know being down wind helps you to stay undetcted but It's nothing to do with that as they stayed about once they'd seen me.

Cheers DJ

They were asking after you LOL

I thought number 2 the best. It seems the best one when viewed full anyway.

Re: Deer in Glen Etive

Checked back on the pics and I'm pleased with the sharpness as these were the 75-300mm lens which was cheap and cheerful when I bought it for my film SLR 12 years or so ago.

Being 'slow' it would struggle in poor light but on a bright morning like this it's quite rewarding to get pleasing results from a cheap lens.
