Anyone keep on top of news/rumours and likes writing?
Hey guys,
We've been doing quite a bit of wordpress stuff at work lately, and it's actually quite a neat platform - was thinking about using it to power a news front end for YoP, where we'd cover news and rumours. Hence wondered if any of you feel you are enthusiastic writers and fancy giving this type of journalism a shot? (By posting news stories etc.)
The only thing that might be a bit of a problem is that the comments for the news/rumours section wouldn't be via the YoP forum accounts, but via the wordpress system which lets people use twitter/fb/open-id (etc) to log-in and comment.
The good thing is news articles might bring people to the site who may then join up on the forum.
What do you guys think? Anyone interested in writing for it?

In a nutshell it is basically taking a press release and condensing it into a short news item, and with the rumours, it is just spotting rumours on other sites and covering them too - if we think they may be of interest to our visitors. (Rumours are usually ended with ' via ______ ' (the website url). Along with uploading an image for each story.
The designs were done ages ago and I really like them - really don't want to see them go to waste. Also, having a news front end would give us a premium feel - ie more than just a forum - which was always the plan anyway.
