Re: Just one

Nice shot Otta.

I always thought the best MP the better on cameras. The Mk2 being 8.1 on the 1d mk2 and 16 on the 1d mk4, hence mk 4 being better.....

Re: Just one

Megapixels are definitely definitely not everything! I do like this shot though, it's a nice informal shot!

Dog show photography is something I do a lot of now, and have learned quite a few tips and tricks along the way - ie. what not to show! ;D Some of the cutest images can be the least well received as the owners/handlers/breeders want the dog only to ever look at its best.

Re: Just one

Very true Laura they arent. I am just trying to work out what defines the 1Ds from say the 5Ds, why they are so sort after. Say the 1D Mk 4 side by side with the 5D Mk3.....One can do things the other cannot and visa versa. Its the custom functions that seem to differ a lot, 62 against 13. You need a degree to work your way through the Mk3 manual, all 393 pages of it, gawd knows what you`ll need for the 1D Mk4 and hate to think how many pages that booklet has.

Re: Just one

Hi
Lostnspace ... Thanks , I just got so used to my Mk2 after six years plus .

Zoundz ... If you think the dog world is picky , you should horse , in particular dressage . I did all these back in 2000 with a Nikon D1 and Dyesub Printer.

Hi Ken , Yes much better , hate this contrasty sun .. where has all the lovely cloud cover gone . I think the loaner MK4 has the insides of a 1DX

The shot sold well , like it because of the background and tongue pink tones matching .

Re: Just one

Yes, I can well imagine horses would be even more difficult to 'get right' for the owners. Rats are pretty simple! ;D
