F numbers on the 400D

the 400D im borrowing of my son in law hasn't got a info book with it, i need to know how to change the f numbers (dof) so anyone out there with a 400D can you help me please........thank you simon

Turn the dial to AV and use the wheel in front of the shutter release button to adjust the numbers accordingly

what sam said works if you only want to work in AV mode,

if your wanting to use manual, there should be a wee button on the right hand side of the back that says "av" and you push that and turn the shutter speed dial. that will change it.

i lernt this when i had a shot of my mates 350d, god i am so glad i have the 30D
