Re: One o'clock

Very nice Grumpy, where did you focus was it on the centre of the seed head? Think if you can manage to get the whole seed in sharp focus from top to bottom that could be a winner, why not have another go.

It looked so nice I cleaned my screen to get a better view, why do screens seem to get splashed in everything from butter to gravy?

Re: One o'clock

Thanks Snapper. I was using an extension tube to get in closer and did indeed focus on the seed head. Trouble is, as you know, close up DOF is severely restricted. Probably I should have focus stacked it, but I looked at it and thought, "Hey, it's got the spirit of it" and left it as it was. Maybe next time I'll do that though!

Re: One o'clock

Thank you for taking my comment in the spirit it was offered, think if you were using tubes you have done very well they are a piece of equipment I find difficult to handle.

My original comment was because I would have liked to see more detail in the actual seed but as in all comments on others work only the photographer knows if they have achieved what they were aiming for.
