River Clyde at Night

Hi guys.

I haven't been around for a while, although I do still check out all your great photos every now and then, just to keep myself up to date, lol

Azz, I see we have loads of new members. That's fantastic!

Although I've been absent for a while, I've been feverishly snapping away at anything that moves...and loads of things that don't, so I'll post a few of my pictures in the various genres, starting here.

I keep coming back to this area of Glasgow for some reason.

These shots were all taken at 01:00am (ish)

Love those images.
Some information on how you set up a shot like that would be really useful for a beginner like me.
Thanks.

Re: River Clyde at Night

Nice shots MD -nice angles you got the bridge from too. I've faced the same prob as you did on #2, those bright lights. I think a graduated ND filter would help hold back those lights.
It's nice you got the lights changing colour on the bridge, it usually stays on red when I'm there
My best images of the squinty so far, have been with my 40d & 50d and I've yet to better them with my 5dMKII.

Just to add- #3 and 4 are very good shots but I would crop the start of the squinty out of #4

Canon 400mm f5.6 L
Canon 70-200mm f4.0 L
Canon 17-40mm f4.0 L
