Very nice BC, you like these moody black and white shots. They are very good.

These are spot on love them.

With respect - number 1 appears over-exposed to me and number 2 appears under-exposed; both lack crispness. I hate the black beveled fringing - IMHO it really dominates the images.

what B&W settings are you using BC?

They look great on my monitor, thats really strange

It could be a photoshop issue rather than in camera. Look ok on my monitor but I'm still playing in photoshop. I never claim anywhere I got it right! Conversions are done in photoshop and I play with curves, contrast, dodging and burning and presets for black and white. In this case red and blue filters. Pictures are resized jpgs.

Oh well...I'll come back later when I get better. Theres no room for beginners...
