Blue Day at the Beach...comments welcome

I have started processing the first of a few pics taken during a week or two in Majorca. Loved the early morning walk on the beach. Anyway, comments very welcome on this picture...started out as a girl jogging in the sunrise. Seemed a bit average and routine so I played with it a little (bearing in mind I know nothing about Photoshop!) So the outcome is this 'blue' picture...I really can't decide if I like it or it is pants... I'll let you more enlightened people decide for me. Comments very welcome...

Like the shot, not sure about the blue as it leaves me wanting to see the original and therefore guess it does not work for me. Think if you do this sort of thing it should please the photographer even if everyone else hates it, from what you say you are undecided so perhaps it is not quite right.

Sorry I can't give C&C as I'm no good at photography but actually quite like this, would also like to see the original though.

Re: Blue Day at the Beach...comments welcome

Well, BC, I like the original, may be have seen similar but ever image is unique. However if you like the blue filter then you should use it. I can't see that the change of colour makes any difference to the image or the composition which I find pleasing, just leaves you wondering what reason the artist had for changing the natural tones, although there is no reason why one should not but the artist should be confident in their decision.

Guess what I am trying to say is if you think the image is improved and you like it what does it matter what I think

Humm...not sure which one I prefer....its such a beautiful shot - the angles work So well.

If I had to pick I would probably go for the original - but the blue is a really good edit!

Just looking again....oddly..the first one makes me feel its more sunset where as the second really feels like a sunrise

Maybe I'm just weird!

Re: Blue Day at the Beach...comments welcome

I like both, the only prob i have with the blue filter one is the sun, it needs toning down a little i think around the edges.. nice capture though
