Re: The Laura Daily Photo Alphabet Challenge

Lovely shots Suzi! The one of Karl is of him messing around with the pumpkin we're growing - I liked it myself, but now I've processed it, I'm not so sure, I'd like to re-shoot at some point I still like it because it's of Karl!

Hope you're feeling better now, that ring shot is lovely - must try that technique!

Re: The Laura Daily Photo Alphabet Challenge

Karl's pumpkin! I like the first edit,it's fun, and really like the last one, not so sure of the one in the middle though. Good sized Pumpkin too,was too late for me to grow them this year, but will definitely have a few in a corner somewhere next year xx

Re: The Laura Daily Photo Alphabet Challenge

N is for Novel

I'd be lost without my books, I have sooo many, and I tried a Kindle, but nothing is like getting a book in your hands, or spending ages in a book store. Anyway, wanted a row of novels but didn't want them too flat and one dimensional, so pulled one towards the front, to give some depth to the image.
Natural light, 50mm, no editing except web ready action.

O is for Orchid

I love Orchids, they are just stunning. Used a black backdrop, the orchid on a table, well away from the background, large window to the right, orchid positioned to make the most of the light. Also used my light sphere on flash, to give a bit more light, but not too harsh. Editing was cropping, and web ready action.

Re: The Laura Daily Photo Alphabet Challenge

That's really pretty Laura, really like the second version. I am still having computer problems, so editing is a pain, but will try and get P and Q uploaded today xxxx

Re: The Laura Daily Photo Alphabet Challenge

P is Petals

Wanted to do the opposite of the last shot, by lighting the flower naturally. This was shot in natural light , in a dark corner, so just tweaked the dark of the background and then got rid of the colour, by using Dark Chocolate action, it turns images a nice chocolately Mono. Then, web ready action. Oh, and cropped too, will be glad to use a different lens after this month. D300, 50mm, Natural Light.
