Photography Slang

Being a youngster in the photography world I found some of the words used very confusing.

Can we have a photography dictionary please.


DOF = Depth Of Field

Nifty = 50mm lens

Tog = Photographer

Bokeh = Background Blur of the picture

DSLR - Digital Single Lens Reflex
TLR - Twin Lens Reflex
TTL - Through The Lens (Metering)
JPG - Joint Photographic Experts Group (JPEG)
TIFF - Tagged Image File Format
MF - Manual Focus
CMYK - Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, Black
RGB - Red, Green, Blue
sRGB - Standard Red, Green, Blue
EV - Exposure Value
