Trouble is the masking is okay until it comes to hair, where it is really bad, extracting preserves hair edges much better.

Mine is to learn how to use all the settings on my camera properly, as iv only had it six weeks, and havent got a clue what some of the setting are even for

Thinking of hooking up my scanner to the kids laptop and doing some scannertography, well, thats the plan anyway.

OH! I tried once, great fun but take care not to do what I did, made a big scratch with some pebbles and the scanner has never been the same although it is not as bad as you would think.

Seem to remember you can get some good effects with crumpled cooking foil placed over your subject, do lets see what you come up with everyone has different ideas.

Half decent is not a bad place to start from, far far better because it shows a optimistic nature. Add to that the fact that we are more critical of ourselves then you are probably starting from somewhere far higher then you think. Good luck with it and I hope it all falls together for you.
