Is it true that they get their colour from their food ?

Yes, I was asking the keeper about it, as Luke didn't believe me,they only eat shrimp or special pellets in captivity, and that's where the colour comes from Also, there are 3 types of Flamingos, these are brighter than Greater(African) flamingos, and duller than the ones in the Carribean.
