Patch's Challenge #3

Wow, the results from the first two challenges are impressive. So many creative minds here. I love Snapper's idea to have the falls disappear into a black void.

Ok, so on today's ride I went to Trojan Park. I's photographed it in the Autumn with brilliant foliage but never in Summer. I'm posting a shot while walking along the path. It's covered by a canapé of green. I feel there are lots of possibilities with this challenge. Have fun!

All the other challenge threads remain open. You can feel free to work on them at your leisure. I'll try & vary the subject matter as I know there are many different interests on YO.

Tighter crop - trying to give an old fashioned feel - with heavy desaturation and hue increase - also added grain and tweaked a few other bits and bobs!

Good idea Zoundz. I'll bet this would lend itself to a sepia photo as well.

Bob, do you think when we get to number 4 (that I am sure we will) do you think we should start a new thread so this one does not start getting slow to load?

These are all on separate threads for me Jackie...?

I think it should have a board of its own though - or there should be an 'editing' board?

I could start posting smaller resolution photos if it's too slow for you to load snapper. As far as It's own area we already have a challenge site and an editing area. I would appreciate if Azz would move all these to the challenge site & I'll just continue posting threads there.

Am I really going mad, what has happened to Z's edit, I can't find it and I know it was there.

Right my choice of edit need some explaining, I am trying to come to terms with mono edits and to learn how to do it. First I think you need to look at the shot and get it clear in your own mind what it is you want to do. I decided I wanted to evoke the feel and smell of the sun warming up damp leaves under trees.

So I added the sun flare to give the warmth and changed the shot to mono and added a green tint to try to give the feel of the musty air you find under trees as the sun warms up. By now you will have lost me or had it confirmed that I am total nuts.

Before I started I remover the broken branch at the front right and as I finished I sharpened a tiny bit and added a border again to give that damp enveloping feeling, OK, OK I'll shut up now.
