Rosscarbery church...

Really don't know with this one, part of me hates it, and part of me thinks it's fab! opinions? Go gentle - as I'm not sure if it even *can* be improved - but I did rather like it. Mainly Itook it as I was playing with lens flare - and rather liked the way the church was silhouetted through the trees. I did not like the digger... but couldn't exactly go and move it - and am rubbish at editing so - ignore the digger... :P

Re: Rosscarbery church...

I like the main focus of it Z - maybe play around with cropping it?

Re: Rosscarbery church...

Thanks Azz any suggestions? This was all I could really see, but then, I was having a bit of a creative block with it!

Re: Rosscarbery church...

Lose some of the sky I think, but I really like it, as you know I am always in favour of sunflare xx

Maybe crop it at the beginning of the big branches, it then creates a natural frame, but you still have the points of interest

Re: Rosscarbery church...

How can you ignore something that features so strongly in the picture?

Would I be wrong to suggest that the flares were more coincidence then planned?

Why not think more about the shot you actually want, and how you will go about achieving it - you can then plan and compose accordingly. IMO, and if I'm allowed to be truly honest - I'm really struggling to see any merit in this image. That said - given planning I think you could revisit and pull something off intentionally.

Re: Rosscarbery church...

:/ The lens flare was planned... I really was just trying something new out, I'm sorry that a few can't see any merit at all in it... I know I can see merit in every image I see pretty much... :/

Re: Rosscarbery church...

Laura here is an edit...

If you mind I shall delete it,I fiddled with the exposure a bit and tones of the shot too. I really like it, but know it might not be anybody elses cup of tea
