Patch Challenge #1
Ok - I liked Patch's idea about posting an unedited photo and let the beginners edit the photo, post their results and let everyone know what they did and how they did it.
I'l post my edit on Sunday each week. Good luck & by all means, have fun!!

Kit 1 Nikon D40 lens has packed in after only a couple of months, Bennetts so far refuse to replace it dead kapputt fallen apart Nikon 18-55mm Tamron AF 70-300 |

Lol Bob, you have certainly picked one to keep them busy.
It will be interesting how much work people choose to do, wonder if it will be based on their ability or on what they think requires editing.

Understand, this is supposed to be fun. You can try anything. Crop, color balance, contrast, framing, vignetting, focus and most of all, composition. I gave you a tough one to open the door for beginner and experienced photograpphers alike. I deliberately shot the photo the way I did to make it challenging.

Anyone can have fun. There are a lot of ways to go with this starter photo. I propose we change the format each week, like flowers this week, landscpes the next, animals & pets, etc.

I haven't seen any edits posted so I'll just pop mine on here and let the idea drop. I tried for a painting effect by toying with the color balance. I've removed the third blossom and replaced it with a bud I've copied and modified from the right side of the photo. I cleaned up the background which is actually my apartment's siding.
