Re: Baby Lily - Tiny fingers and toes

Sorry Jack but Im going to have to disagree. I think the way you've shot the photo in the style of rule of thirds is more effective than just using a bulls eye composition

Re: Baby Lily - Tiny fingers and toes

I too prefer the rule of thirds veiw, but we all see/like different stuff/ideas.

Maybe good for moonie to do a mixture then the mum can decide and we would be interested to know what she chose.

Re: Baby Lily - Tiny fingers and toes

Sorry, but I wasn't asking anybody to agree with me - its down to personal choice.

The foot image isn't within the RoTs, and I wasn't on about bulls-eye centering - I just said bring them into the frame more. I was only trying to be helpful and offer feedback - I'll shut up in future.

Jack... NOOOOOOO

Jack you haven't offended me, please I welcome any advice or comments, I really do.

It is only a plastic doll and advice on composition etc, or opinions I always take on board , I really do xxxxx

I am not sure about the last foot image, I am just experimenting to see what I like and what I think works, before I make a fool of myself in front of the Mum and the baby. So Jack, please keep making comments as I do find any feedback helpful.

Suzi xxxx

Re: Baby Lily - Tiny fingers and toes

At the end of the day it's down to personal preference - and I'm sure Suzi appreciates everyone's feedback. In fact suggestions like Jacks are far more helpful than my usual 'great shots ____' response

It's also unlike JR to take things like this personally - hope you are ok Jack and not having a rough day (totally understandable given your circumstances).

Re: Baby Lily - Tiny fingers and toes

I had some done when mine were small. Some of the nicest ones were taken with me and Bex in a very informal session. We just played and I held her etc and he snapped away. I got a gorgeous one with my profile in, just showing it was me with the rest of the focal point being Bex. It captured the relationship between us pefectly. That is something I will also treasure.Just something to think about?
