Thanks Azz, I wonder if the contrast should be up a bit? They are straight off the camera apart from a little cropping and a frame. somebody suggested it?

Aww Dawn they are FAB shots 
I really like the DoF on all of them ..you could possibly shrpen them a tad to bring out the harshness of the terrier coat? Apart from that I wouldnt touch them

Thanks, I have added a bit of contrast as suggested by somebody else, I think they are a bit better. I used the new 50mm lens, it is good for DoF mel, as yours is.

It's a difficult one Dawn as the back of the chair is so close to being blown, and the front (nr the dog) is darker. I've used the burn tool to darken the back and the dodge tool to light areas of the front, then adjusted levels.
My monitor is not properly calibrated right now so the results may look odd on your monitor lol
