Elliston tower

Elliston tower, Howwood.

Tried various exposures with this using 6 stop and 10 stop filters but it actually looked much better without the ND filters, only my hoya polariser was used on this shot.

f16, 1/8sec, ISO 50

Re: Elliston tower

I like it DJ

It's nice to see to see some full on dark shadows and contrast - probably makes a nice mono subject too.

How do you find you get on with your ISO 50 ?

Thanks Azz, Phil

I have other versions using my 10 stop filters and one in mono as well.
I don't normally do mono photographs myself but can appreciate why others like them.

I get on just fine with ISO 50 Phil I used it just to get a slightly longer exposure.

Here are the other shots I took in mono and with 10stop ND and a colour 10 stop
1)mono f8.0, 91sec, ISO 50

2)Colour 6 stop I think. f8.0, 67sec, ISO 50

Re: Elliston tower

Really like the first posted shot, especially the larger version.

I think it the great light and the sky that make it for me.

Well done

Re: Elliston tower

Very nice capture indeed. Couldn't help notice the resemblance to a tourist attraction here, Vista House.
