Might just give that a go.
I take it the results (dof) will vary slightly depending on your own 'maximum' aperture ?

Not read all the hints on the link I don't Know if DOF matters.
I would suggest trying different settings to get the results across the range.
Logic tells me that if it is consistantly out of more or less the same focus with different lenses, then I would suspect the camera
