Amazon D7000 Cancellation
I think I've been rather patient with Amazon.com. I preordered my D7000 on Sept 18th so it's been over 6 weeks and still no word. I decided to shop around locally and found my favorite local shop has been getting the cameras every week. So, I cancelled my amazon order and put one on order at Camera World in Portland, OR. They clain my camera should be here by next week with free shipping & no sales tax. Thus, the new wait begins. I want that camera in my hands before Thanksgiving so I have enough time to familiarize myself with it. More to follow............ Sorry about the mispelling of cancellation in the title. Maybe Azz will correct it.

I know. I think Amazon is so big that they're swamped by the unexpected popularity of the D7000. I just hate the dead silence and broken promises. I'd rather deal locally since I can drive there & talk face to face. The price/shipping/tax is the same so I'll take my chances and trust what they told me was accurate.
