What do you do when it rains?

I hate the rain! And I doubt I'll be going out much when the winter comes.

But what will I photograph?! I'm sure you'll get bored of Cheetah and Rocky pics

So... my question is, what do you photograph when the winter comes.. (aprt from the snow )

Re: What do you do when it rains?

I think you can get some stunning photo's in the winter months. As long as I don't have to take photo's where it involes me standing outside for hours

Re: What do you do when it rains?

After a nasty experience in florida where Ross my son decided to shoot me with a water jet he hit my camera ( a pentax film SLR ) square on and the lens that I had on at the time seized solid I sent it for repair but it just seized again, so with that inthe back of my mind all the time I dont like to take my camera out into the rain I know it may seem paraniod but I'm always afraid that it happens again or was I just unlucky?

Re: What do you do when it rains?

Although i dont like the cold-nature often looks at its best in the dead of winter covered in ice or dew.Granted, rain does put a damper on your enthuasm, but it never last for long (well-it dont round here!).

Re: What do you do when it rains?

If it rains I don't take the camera out if at all possible, its too expensive a bit of kit to get ruined. However if pictures must be taken in the rain i would wrop the camera up in clear plastic just leaving the lens with hood on exposed.

I have seen and there is on the market a brolly camera called "Popabrella Camera Umbrella " which can be viewed by typing it in google .

Re: What do you do when it rains?

snow is fun

although I cant take credit for that pic, it was taken by one of my boys who must have been 11 at the time.

I took this one though
this little snowman sat on my spare wheel (courtesy of my youngest son) for almost a week, before his bits started dropping off - the snowman that is, not m'boy
