Post Capture Process Competition - Round 1

Okies, so here goes the 1st round...

I've supplied the pic here (full size, straight off the camera):

http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y77...rum/PP9187.jpg

Take it, and do with it as you please. Crop it, rotate it, clones, hdr, selective colour, anything that Imaging software and your skills allow you to do.

You have 1 week to do this, at which stage I will pick the image that I like best. This is obviously my personal opinion, so dont be offended if it's not the same as yours

The winner will be announced within 2 days of the close, and will have a few days to either take a picture, or supply one they already have.

And the process will begin again.

rules:

1. If you are easy offended, do not enter.
2. No comments on other peoples entries until after the winner has been announced.
3. Original Images remain copyright of the owner etc etc
4. Play nice
5. Editted entries should be no longer than 1000px on their longest side, and under 500kb
Kit 1
Nikon D300
nikkor 18-135mm
Sigma 50-500mm

Re: Post Capture Process Competition - Round 1

Guys....just a thought here, but.....

Not taking this too seriously, but.....
As it is a competition after all....would it not be fairer to wait until the last day, and then we all post our entries at once?

I just think that if you post really early, others will see it, and know what they have to compete against, giving them the advantage.

I also think it would be fun to be sitting there, watching each entry come through, one after the other, with all the different ideas.

BTW, there is already some great ideas there folks, good stuff !

I don't know...what d'ya all think?

Re: Post Capture Process Competition - Round 1

I am thinking the same thing now.

perhaps this week could be a test week to see how many peeps are interested?

then next week we could all post on the same day.

LETS SEE WHAT THE MAJOR THINKS WHEN HE COMES BACK.

Re: Post Capture Process Competition - Round 1

I think it's a valid point... but nothing's stopping people holding off posting until the last day

Re: Post Capture Process Competition - Round 1

I don't mind when people submit. There's no prize so I don't think its that competitive, and I'd have no problem posting my entries as soon as I've processed them, but by all means, you can hold off to the last day.... as long as you don't forget

Re: Post Capture Process Competition - Round 1

yeah, you can delete + resubmit right up to the last day.

The whole thing is more an excercise to practice their PP techniques.
