River House - Spring

Today was really beautiful at 75 degrees F, bright & sunny. I just had to go for a ride. I took a familiar route through country back roads well traveled by me. My favorite River House was once again photographed, this time in Spring. I just love that scene for some reason. I have the colorful Fall version framed and hanging next to me.

I also stopped to photograph a country horse farm. It's not as fancy as a thoroughbred farm but picturesque none the less. The next few days are forecast wet and 20 degrees cooler so this is it for another week. Enjoy!

Thanks Little Me. I'm pleased that my sigma 70-300 can produce these photos without being too soft. As long as I avoid the extreme 300mm end of it's range I get excellent results.

Are you referring to the River House or the horse barn? LOL

The river house - tho I personally wouldn't mind either - the horse barn looks plenty big for a conversion

Since I now live in a 182 square foot studio apartment the barn has its lure of appeal.

Love the first shot bob

Looks like the old horse barn, is being replaced by a nice new one

You know after I got home and processed the shots I realized the same thing. I love old weathered buildings so I'm glad I captured this farm before they tear down the old barn.

I used to work with a man who, along with his wife, Ann, loves horses. Every time I come across this sort of scene I photograph it and send it to Mark. Oregon has a lot of horse farms with mountains surrounding them.

Re: River House - Spring

I am collecting a lot of old horse barn, and derelict barn shots there's a lot of them where I live.
I love how they are just left to fall downand be taken over by nature again, same goes for old trucks and tractors
