Last night's storm

I thought North Carolina's thunderstorms were bad, but Texas ones are something else. "Bonnie"got downgraded, which I am happy about, as we haven't got a generator yet,so don't want any hurricanes, until that is sorted, though we did lose power for awhile last night, so this the weather caused by Bonnie.

Shot in hail, high winds, and thunder, and had to be handheld as my tripod would not of stood up.

Very dramatic looking sky. I can only imagine how scary some of those storms must be.

Re: Last night's storm

Great shot Moonie, I can feel the excitment. I take it you're not into storm chasing then

It looks a bit different to what was 'over your fence' a couple of days ago.

Re: Last night's storm

Nah, definitely not a storm chaser, though I can see why people do it, but after seeing what a Tornado could do about a mile from my house earlier this year, I have a very healthy respect for the extreme weather here.

Our house, and others in the neighbourhood were damaged during hurricane Ike a couple of years ago, 11 days without power , and they were the lucky ones, so we definitely need a decent generator.

Re: Last night's storm

No, it was just a quick grab shot, just wanted to capture the amazing colours and formations as it was.
