First Photos

Well, i've only just joined the forum today, but thought i'd share a bit of the weekends experimentation! I'm a very new photographer, so i apologise. But anyway, here's a few pics i took at Belsay in Northumberland on Sunday.

1. Jokingly know as 'Entrance to Rivendell'

2.

3.

4. The gardens were the quarry the stone for Belsay Hall came from, so the husband jokingly called this 'And The Call It A MIne'.

Re: First Photos

Looks as if the entrances were closed judging by the red crosses.

Your shots make me want to visit because you have captured the atmosphere, you have a good eye for angle and composition too so you are well on your way.

Re: First Photos

Sorry when I first looked there were just the dreaded red x in a box.

Love picture 4 makes one want to see what is around the corner.

If you would like members thoughts on any photos then all you have to do is ask. Have to agree with KK about the tech. side .

Re: First Photos

You might as well go for it, comments wise (though i never was much good at critique when i was doing fine art) *laughs*. But constructive critisism is helpful so go for it.

Re: First Photos

Ok

Number 2 picture nice angle nothing wrong with that but maybe the use of a ND filter would have stopped white blowout of the sky. The other pictures maybe needed a little sharpening unless its just my eyesight make them look a wee bit out of focus.

Just my thoughts, I try to be constructive and not to criticise.
