Nomada Bees

New Nomada Bees for me,never seen this type before. Very small about 10-12mm in length. One of my favourite subjects.

MPe-65, MT24ex, 550D and Handheld.

Different typei think - Smaller and different coloured eyes.

Stunning as usual do you focus stack these or are they single images

Thanks Owen, all single images, rarley stack these days (used to be obsessed with it ). Realised lighting is more important for showing details than focus stacking.

The only images i stack all the time are the dew drop refractions.

these are brilliant ...................I cant find no bees of any type to practise on ,but we have no leaves yet so I guess your well ahead of us

Fantastic work Allie, I'm not sure how you would focus stack a possible moving subject/target?

Its quite easy. Once they are comfortable with your presence its amazing how still they stay. If they do move a leg or antenne it can usually be fixed in post. The flash is usually what makes them twitch as some bugs are more sensitive to it than others.
