Railings

A short while ago I posted this, but the view was that objects in the background were distracting, so I modified it. What do you think?

It's work in hand, with just a mod to the original jpeg, but can do it to the tiff

Re: Railings

It's definitely less distracting now, Grumpy

Re: Railings

That's a lot better from the original, although the car in the BG still draws my eye a bit.

Could you apply some Vignetting to the corners? I think that might work better

Re: Railings

Agree with both Azz and Ken, I reckon you might be better keeping the bottom light to lead the eye in from the bottom post?

Re: Railings

Personally mate I don't think it works as a picture. I can see where you are coming from, but it just isn't right in the first place. Don't waste any further time on it. However, I'm going to guess this site is local to you. Why not go back and if you don't mind being considered some weirdo by passers by (! - like the rest of us! ) stick your camera into that slot in the midle, experiment with different appertures and points of focus... you could also try going right up to the thing, coming in at about a 45 degree angle, focus on the first or second ball close in the frame and have the other balls going off into the background. I don't know if it will work, but at the moment there is too much going on around the subject you want us to be interested in.

Re: Railings

I agree Stu, it's a nice idea, but unlikely to be rescued, whatever time of the day. Thanks for your observations
