reverse lens technique.

I tried this today, worked a treat. will post pictures later

anyone else tried this? if so post here!

I did have a lens reversing ring ages ago but I never used it.

I'd be quite keen to see your results though.

There are drawbacks to using extension rings or extension tubes, and that is the amount of light getting to the sensor is restricted, and if used with the camera on manual setting would be by trial and error method.

It is always preferable to get a proper 1/1 ratio macro lens if possible depending on costs etc.

Daniel isn't talking about extension tubes / rings here.

Lens reversing is where you add an adaptor (reversing ring) to the front of the camera which then allows the whole lens to be mounted the wrong way round.

i bought a reversing lens a couple of months ago but i couldnt focus anything so i give up !(too easily!)
