Re: everything i need to know about wedding photography

CL, you should still try and cover the Wedding, maybe shadowing the Pro, if they don't mind of course, I'm sure he or she will be able to give you all the pointers you'll need for future jobs

If the pro is not so keen to be shadowed ( after all, they will be under pressure too ) then ask your friend if you can be a "2nd" camera at the wedding, and ask her to let the pro know you will be there with her consent.

You won't need to charge her anything...she gets a second set of prints....the pro gets on with the job...you get to see everything the pro sets up and shoots....and you also get some practice in yourself.

Everyone's a winner!

Re: everything i need to know about wedding photography

invite tot he wedding only means you get a paid meal.

I'd still attend the church service, and get pics there. I'd even go so far as to ask the bride if she'd mind you coming to the photoshoot too, so you can be 2nd camera.

If you dont ask, you wont get

I agree! I'm doing another shadowing at a wedding this Sat' I can't wait! I really love it! the happy couple have also agreed to let me use there photo's in the future, for Advertising, if I so desire! so I shall post a few on here, this time, and you can all give me your CC!

I have also asked if they would like me to take a few pre wedding shots for extra practise.

and as stated above "If you dont ask, you wont get!"

good luck!
