Fantastic PP, it's such a striking picture to look at, both the water and the sky compete for my eyes attention.

Re: Slow Wave Mono (as suggested by Phil!!!)

I'd love to see a colour version of this one.

Only kidding - Looks good Ste and (as mentioned) the contrast makes for a lovely punchy image.

Sorry for the late reply by the way - I've got my parents staying so have to wait till everybody has gone to bed LOL

Re: Slow Wave Mono (as suggested by Phil!!!)

I love this! I'm going to have to go find a beach, an early morning and some wellies. I'm guessing this is a high contrast (hdr) shot? Could you let us know what PP you used on it?

Also, can I print it and stick it on my wall please?

Re: Slow Wave Mono (as suggested by Phil!!!)

Thanks for the comments folks, and just for you Gaz this is it from start to finish, and no HDR.

Beach is here http://www.bahia-principe.com/en/hot...resort-akumal/

Camera is a Fujifilm X100 with a circular polariser aperture priority at f/16 iso 200, fixed focal length camera so 23 mm, 35 mm equivalent, giving a 1/2 second exposure shot at 5:50 pm with a tripod.

Shot in RAW, and first processed in LR 4, usual adjustments to the file and also white balance and temperature to push the blues. Then into PS 5 for a little cloning to remove some litter, curves and levels and then Nik plug in silver efex pro for the mono conversion. A brown layer added and blended in to add a little warmth. That is about it, nothing majorly done to the file over and above what I normally do, all in all took about 5 minutes to process.
