What pictures do you look at on Yop?

What pictures tend to attract you on Yop? Do you generally just look at the dog pictures or landscapes, or people, or maybe you look at all pictures?

Some people will have their own favourite subjects, some people never post comments except in certain sections or to certain people...so, maybe you only follow individuals or certain things that appeal to you?

...and also to some of you, why don't you post pictures? No time for photography, don't feel good enough (or too good for us all! )...don't know how to?

For example I don't know anything about dogs so tend to keep my mouth shut, don't know much about insects, and in general i don't tend to be drawn to animal stuff, or flowers, but i dio love landscapes and people, still subjects, and hardware, pictures that make you think...some things I'll comment on, some things I choose not too, clearly some people never comment on my work, or maybe me theirs ( )... just wondering how people go about using Yop?

Re: What pictures do you look at on Yop?

I like shots of people, macro and of course animals mainly, but will have a nosey at most postings if possible.

Unfortunately due to my health at the moment I'm not able to get out and about so my photography is extremely limited i.e. can only do photo's of the dogs, my parents won't let me experment on them LOL!

Re: What pictures do you look at on Yop?

I must admit I go through phases of commenting or answering peoples queries. With work commitments and recently, my back problems, sometimes I look through the posts but really haven't got the get up & go to participate.

Also, when I do comment on an image I do try to give opinions why I think it works or not. But having read some threads lately where people have said they would appreciate even just a "I like it" type comment I think I am going to have to start doing just that as some encouragement to others.

As to types of images I like, obviously dogs (of the gundog type particularly), macro, people, and just for fun type pics. Landscapes have to be really good to excite me and still life and studio work, although I appreciate is difficult, leaves me a bit cold.

Re: What pictures do you look at on Yop?

I tend to look at most pictures, but must admit the dog ones I kinda leave to the last! Nothing wrong with them I just prefer other types of photography, landscapes, People, Nature. I think I look more at the photography that I do myself, to get some inspiration and tips. I comment when I can, but as I'm not that technically genned up yet! Its comments about what I like about it! I love looking through all of your pictures and I find the comments both interesting and helpful not only on my pictures but on them all too.

Re: What pictures do you look at on Yop?

I look at (and try to post on) every thread. There are some I don't - Canon specific for example, or certain computer software questions, because it's well out of my league etc and my posting would get in the way!

I do prefer animal related shots, and macro obviously but I enjoy looking at all the work people post on here.

Re. posting my own stuff, things have gotten a bit quiet with hospital and moving, but hopefully I'll start getting back into the groove soon.

Re: What pictures do you look at on Yop?

I try and look at everything.
So much to learn from looking at other peoples photos, and from what C&C they get.
I am not sure what to say about dog photos but I still enjoy looking!

Re: What pictures do you look at on Yop?

I think I look at all of them although I don't always reply to everything.

I'm not sure whay I reply to some photographs and not to others but It's nothing to do with the people who post them.

Re: What pictures do you look at on Yop?

I usually look at landscapes, macro, and wildlife shots, as they're the only areas I feel that I'm qualified to comment on really.

Must admit I don't have much interest in pet photos either so tend to skip them, I just prefer my subjects to be wild!

I've not done a lot of photography lately, mainly because the weather has been atrocious

Re: What pictures do you look at on Yop?

I love the people stuff but afraid I don't comment as much as I should.

I pop in and pop out so I must pop in and comment then pop out. lol
