What do you think?

Re: Should I buy Canon Rebel Xsi?

I think you already asked a similar question the other day...

I know the Rebel Xsi isn't in there, but surely, that topic covers this post too? Should you not just add to the old post instead?!

Re: Should I buy Canon Rebel Xsi?

Well, that question is based on compact cameras, and the one I just asked is based on other level. So.

Re: Should I buy Canon Rebel Xsi?

Well - perhaps it would help if you even said what *Exactly* you wanted the camera for, it does get a little confusing and annoying for people when you just post a 'should I/shouldn't I' question. No-one can just answer yes or no - well they can, but surely you don't want such a pointless answer?!

Re: Should I buy Canon Rebel Xsi?

Hmm. Well, right now I own d70s with two lenses, both nikkor and sigma. And, maybe I should consider some a little upgrading and try something new? Idk, lol. d70s came out in like, '05 right? And xsi came out last year, correct?

Re: Should I buy Canon Rebel Xsi?

Well - I had no idea the rebel xsi was an SLR :/ but then, I'm not in America. I assumed that it was just another bridge/compact from the name. But then I don't do Canon either. My bad.

My personal opinion is that you have two Nikon fit lenses... surely it'd be better to get a Nikon? That said, if you prefer what Canon offers - then change wholesale.

Although, it has to be asked, are you only changing because the D70s is 'old'? Because that's really not a great reason to change - if it works for what you want to do, why upgrade?!

Re: Should I buy Canon Rebel Xsi?

Well, now you know.

The reason I'm asking this is, because there's a unique deal at this store right now, it comes with two lenses and body, all for like 900$. I'm wondering if I should take it.

Or should I buy the newly released D5000 Body?

Re: Should I buy Canon Rebel Xsi?

Thing is, no-one can make that choice for you... you need to go to stores and handle the cameras, read the reviews and make an informed decision.
