Re: YoP ID Cards?

Yes they will include individual photos as they'll have your mugshots on them

Hence why the price is generally more than just getting something printed a few times over.

Re: YoP ID Cards?

Still waiting for my guy to come back to me, but why not these :

Then you can print em, and they cost coppers.

Re: YoP ID Cards?

Those are 'semi-ridgid' - I've seen them before, they're really quite awful! They're usually 'wonky' and they don't last very long.

Just so everyone's in the loop. Manguish's guys can't do them with photos - which is one of the reasons why they are more expensive than just getting a 'card' printed x number of times.

I will try to find a cheaper supplier tho - the problem we have is they generally want you to order in bulk :-/ but I'm on it...

Re: YoP ID Cards?

I'm offended my YoP dog pooper scooper idea hasn't been adopted...

Appreciate the time and effort with these but really what are we attempting to achieve? Is the intent really to convince a PC or PCSO that we are real photographers? They basically have no right to harrass you in the street anyway except under some fabricated pretence you are a terrorist because of course we all know terrorists carry expensive and very obvious cameras... Now of course if you carry a YoP card licenced to kill and take pictures, two sugars in mine mate...and have a Minox spy camera you would really look the part... I don't mind a membership card but I can't see any reason to try and pacify some out of order security guard or police representative who wouldn't be bound to consider it as a means of identity. I'm not being awkward, I am wondering genuinely it's intended purpose as it carries no legal standing as identity etc?

Re: YoP ID Cards?

It's just that extra peace of mind (for yourself, and for others who may want some kind of reassurance) - I guess it depends on whether you would prefer to be out taking photographs with one on, or not If so the idea is for you, if not, no worries.

Re: YoP ID Cards?

They are going to be quite costly by the seem of it, I have the Uni card and a student press pass and they don't really make any difference, never get asked for them & I do a lot of street photography....just a thought...
