I think it's a good idea! Perhaps, as one rat forum I was a member of did, we could have one made online - to download and print off ourselves, and put onto card/get laminated whatever that would be much cheaper and do-able!

How do you get it put onto plastic/or on card and laminated Z?

I would be concerned about brand integrity to be honest, about letting people print them themselves (due to varying quality). Plus I think it needs to be verified (with a card ID) so not just any ol Tom Dick or Harry can get one - I would like the ability for people who many be concerned about the photographer to see that they are in fact a participating member here.

What would your ideal price point be guys? There's bound to be more suppliers - the only 'cheaper' ones I saw was where they want orders of 1,000+ !

Come on Azz, you're a small website, not a multinational with PR rules etc.....

Any promotion you can get at this early stage is better than none.

Or if you prefer, charge a tenner a card (unless i find em cheaper ) and get maybe a <1% take up byy the forum and no publicity.

there are places that do lamination i'm sure also - you could buy a laminator and do them yourself? they're not too expensive (about £20 i think) you can than regulate what each member's card is like and post them out? just a thought!

Manguish - small or not, brand integrity is important to me - otherwise we wouldn't have gone to all the trouble and expense of getting a bespoke look to begin with, and would have just ended up being like 'every other forum' out there.

I'm happy to go with a cheaper supplier (did you find one btw?), but not at the expense of quality or overall integrity. I would want the cards to be of good quality, and each one getting a unique ID for cross-referencing purposes.

Z - never thought about laminating, but then the corners wouldn't be rounded? And it would look a little 'tacky'? Not sure tbh!

Can you PM me the spec of the ones you have found, and how you intended getting photos on em.

They are just standard Plastic ID cards (credit card size) and we'd have to get the completed artwork to them (guess that would be tiff).

And individual photos? Since in that respect your runs will be 1 offs if they are printed.
