Re: New Nikkor 50mm f1.4 AF-S

I am trying to be sensible and then I see pics like Guys, and I just *sigh* loose all common sense. It would be an identical kit to yours, as that would be all I could afford! Nothing else, no other lenses, speed light The 50mm was always on the top of my list, but I was hoping to buy another one at least.

Re: New Nikkor 50mm f1.4 AF-S

Well I keep coming back to this thread - the quality is just amazing, so much clarity and detail in the photographs even at that size.

Guy - can I ask what your PP involves? Do you use Capture NX or CS? Do you sharpen your photos afterwards or apply any kind of noise reduction filters? They really are gob smackingly good!

Moon - just do it Joking aside, I guess it depends on whether you'd be happy with one lens and how long you'd be willing to wait to add another...?

I use Lightroom 2.2. Import, occasional crop, apply a preset I created (very little processing), convert to mono, export. Lovely.

Cheers Guy!

If you do get two mins, I'd love to see more indoor shots with this combo. I know you say it's the same as the D3 but it's always nice to see picture proof
