Artistic Nude

This is just a picture i took experimenting with focus of my gf.

I assume the pumps are synonymous with your GF? I like the idea - However, to pull it off, I'd like to see a stronger contrast (sharp/blurred) between the pumps and your model - this could be achieved I feel by picking a definite focus point on the pumps and make that point pin sharp, while retaining your GF out of focus. At the moment I feel no one part of the pumps are entirely in focus. if the plimsolls are THE primary message of personal symbolism, I'd also be inclined to add the whole plimsoll opposed to a chop of them. I trust this makes sense?

Thanks for your ideas JR I appreciate them - yes they were, it was part of a shoot for a modeling website, and she constantly wears her cons so it was kind of a tease type thing. I think you're right though, I think I'll take this shot again and make the cons sharper.

Have to say I thought JR was spot on and feel the same. Somehow for me I'm not sure there is enough in the photograph to connect the shoe and the model. Possibly the ratios or angles aren't right to pull it off. The shoes are very prominent in the foreground. Good idea though and better than anything I have done this week!

Thanks, it made more sense as a shoot - she was wearing all her clothes and gradually took them off, her cons were what remained...
