Snapper just bought a Canon EF 35 - 80mm F4-5.6, second hand lens, suppossed to be in excellent condition, and in excellent working order too. So fingers crossed.

I just fail to see why the courses still teach about film cameras, its like living in the dark ages, things move on and these courses should move on as well. What is the point of teaching about using a film camera when no company makes the cameras anymore and very few produce film anyway.

I love film, I developed my very first pics this week at college, and I loved it! Need loads more practise in the dark room, but it is amazing. A lot of people do believe that film is better Each to their own, I am loving it
Film photography is only part of the course, in fact a small part. It is mostly digital and then post processing digitally.Building a portfolio etc. I am learning so much learning film, it has totally changed the way I take shots already with my Oly, as I am thinking and not just clicking.
Companies do make film cameras still Bazza, and film is dead easy to buy.

I think learning about film is excellent ..it shows you how it all started and helps you to understand the processes that are still used now but in a digital fashion

thats like saying dont do history lessons at school cause its over and done with.
