Re: Photography pet hates

Back on topic.

Pigeon Paparazzi, new breed that turn up at rare bird sightings, armed with top quality gear and zero knowledge of fieldcraft or welfare of the bird, then proceed to try and stick their lens down the birds throat. Usually find the bigger the lens the closer they want to get.

The obsession with sharpness.

Camera Clubs, the few ive been in all tend towards Landscape, and Photoshop indulgence. Nowt wrong with either but it does seem they all go the same way, and exclude any other subject.(my experience anyway)

OK im bitter and twisted, and will now go back to my underground lair, muttering and casting bones will continue to despise the world.

PS Cakey your a true fan, unlike those pot hunting Manure United fans.

I appreciate the pots. Growing up in the 70's and 80's we used to say the same - Liverpool winning trophy after trophy and rubbing our noses in it whilst we struggled along. Still have fond memories of those times though.

I have to confess, Cakey, I hate football as well. It's just that my wife, Christine, is originally from Manchester and she had a clause included in the marriage certificate that if I ever said a bad word about Man U she would report me to her brother who looks like someone who would happily sit me in the middle of a group of drunk Arsenal supporters while wearing a red shirt and have me sing 'Glory, Glory' then scatter what remains of me on the lawns of Old Trafford for fertilizer.

Re: Photography pet hates

I love my dog photography (and my big copyright sign on them to stop people stealing them when they should be buying them )

I completely agree with both Phil and Brian on the bird photography issues. Other than welfare issues and arrogance, I actually have no pet peeves with photography - what people do is up to them

Re: Photography pet hates

Don't really have any, except over intrusive borders/frames, and overcooked HDR, echo Phil's thoughts on HDR. Truthfully, each to their own, as long as you are happy doesn't matter about anyone else
