Re: Canon 550D and CS5

Good to here Daisy. I'll load it (if I can), if I can't get these raw files on CS5.

Re: Canon 550D and CS5

Thanks mate

Was talking to someone who works for the 'corp' and ( not surprisingly) they admit to deliberately and continually adding bits that are counter intuitive so that people buy into the 'support networks'...books etc.

Oh ..I can feel an Adobe lawsuit coming on!

Re: Canon 550D and CS5

FOR DAISY

I had the 450D and Elements 8 and had to do a manual update. Check the Adobe site to ascertain which version of RAW is compatible with your 450D and PSE8 (something like version 6.2) You have to download the RAW file to a (desktop) folder then move the RAW file to PSE8 plugins making sure you take out the old version first. When you go to the Adobe site it explains what to do.

As regards the 550D first check that version 6.4 is compatible with your set up. An earlier version may be the one the you need to load and use.

I have the 600D and had to get PSE9 to enable me to run the RAW converter. There is the DNG converter if all else fails but that is a pain to use.
