Me D700 #2

Another lame ass shot of myself =P Same settings as the first one

Think you get a better idea of the DOF and bokeh this camera produces with the D700 compared to the D300 here. I'm in love with this camera!

Did I say ISO 2000?!?!

Another great shot Tommy!

Loving FX... but, I must not spend, I must not spend!

Btw, are your blinds meant to be cream? Or do you need to set the custom white balance?

Ah. Nope, they're white, but the light from my computer is a lot colder than the one in my room. And I didn't want a blue face =P

Re: Me D700 #2

I always believed DOF depended on the lens f stop being used not which camera took the picture.

I'm sure that is true, but the difference I get when I put my 50mm 1.8 on my Dad's 5D compared to on my 300D is HUGE!
With the 5D I get that classic sharp eyes and creamy background which I just don't seem to be able acheive with the 300D. No idea why as its the same glass.

Re: Me D700 #2

Bazza this thread is ancient!!!!!

DoF has alot to do with lenses, but some cameras have a much smoother, creamier DOF than others. Full Frame cameras, tend to be less noisy so the Bokeh produced is much creamier. As Little Me said, great sharp eyes, smoother background.
