Whipsnade - Birds - Resident and Wild

A few Birds snapped at Whipsnade yesterday

1 : Rockhopper Penguin



2,3 & 4 : Humboldt Penguin







5 : Caribbean Flamingo



6 & 7 : Moorhen





8 : Stork



9 : Lapwing i think



10 : Red Jungle Fowl - I just love the colours on this bird, a lot prettier than our common farm yard cockerals



11 - Now i need help identifying this one, all i could tell is that was only a few months old, my knowledge of birds you can write on the back of a stamp



Thats all folks!!!! For now anyway. I hope you enjoyed looking at the images.

I think you are correct I did not have a look to see whether i could identify it online as i did not initially think it was a moorhen due to its size and colour, it looked bigger than the adult moorhens that were around, and baby moorhens are black, looking more like the adult moorhen.

Thank you Skyline and Daisy.

I was lucky with the Rockhopper, he was right next to the edge of the enclosure The Humboldts dotted around the enclosure, just seemed to be perfect positions
