Oh I think there should be a lot more rotating art and installations, showcase new artists, and makes art accessible to a wider audience. Maybe auction off older, pieces that are looking tired to collectors, and give the money as a grant to new artists, to develop a new piece.

Love outdoor art shows too, basically anything that gets people talking, or enjoying art, is a good thing. Art should not be confined to just a museum, but out on the street too.

There's a fabulous link out there (which I can't currently find) about the ten most frightening/weird/bizarre statues/sculptures! There are some really awesome weird ones out there!

I like the piece in the OP actually We don't really have any here... all natural stuff We do have a statue of Michael Collins, and in the town center we've a giant bronze whale tail... other than that...
