King Penguins....

On the South Georgia Islands is a place called Salisbury Plain. It's basically a beach that leads to a huge, grassy plain in front of snow-capped mountains. Incredibly scenic, it's one of the few places King Penguins form their breeding colonies. Not just one or two of the birds, around 120 000 of them...

Re: King Penguins....

Hi Sam

Amazing shots you have there. ;

I actually much prefer the 1st three shots. I don't think I've ever seen so many penguins in a single shot before, and I love the clarity of shot number 2.

Thanks for sharing

Super shots Sam. I think my favourites are #2 and 3. #5 certainly would have been my 1st choice if not for the wee fellow in the background but still great shots.

Re: King Penguins....

Amazing shots! I am so jealous. I htink penguins are fantastic. I watched a programme about them last year. I think it was in the same location that they were filming. Very interesting it was too. Such a hard life they lead.
I agree that they wouldn't look out of place on National Geographic.
