Re: African wild dog

Many thanks everyone, really glad you enjoyed them!
Bob, these were taken with the EF 70-200. Although they tend to be a bit nervous and jumpy, particularly of people on foot, if you position yourself right and they move towards you, you can get much closer than trying to move closer to them.
Kit 1
Canon 7D
Canon EF 70-200 2.8 L IS USM
Canon EF 17-40mm 1:4
Kit 2
Canon 40D
Canon EF 100-400 1:4.5-5.6 L IS
Canon Macro EF 100mm1:2.8 USM

African wild dog

Re: African wild dog

hi sam.

wow how lucky are you, living in the place that you do...
to have all that wildlife on your doorstep must be the best thing in the world.
i am an artist and i have been looking for images of african wild dogs to paint, but obviously i would not do so without permission of the photographer.

by the way you are an amazing photographer, i love your wild dog images, your tiger one is great too.

i wonder if you would allow me to paint one of your images of the painted dogs?

i am about to enter a wildlife art compitition and i would love to paint your dogs:]

i look forward to your reply.

kind regards

kay
