Hi Bazza.

I'm not too keen on this one I'm afraid.
It's slightly under exposed, seems rather noisy, and you could maybe have composed the shot better, by getting the camera slightly lower, and perhaps frame the bird more to the right, to give more looking room.

The camera settings were shutter speed 1000sec- ISO1600- distance 300mm-auto exposure-auto white balance with camera on shutter priority. I did have noise reduction switched off on the camera which could be the reason, looking at the exif files. Although the camera noise reduction is for long exposures. Thinking on it maybe I had to sharpen a wee bit but as the photo was taken in April this year together with 400 others there is no way I could remember.
looks as if the camera auto set to a high ISO which could be the reason (Nikon D200)


Would I need to alter luminant or chromatic noise?
