Crystal clear as ever Cakey.

Is his face supposed to be like that because it looks painful andf as if it needs lancing?

The knob on the bill distinguishes males from females Sharon. its quite normal

Great close up, nice and sharp, whites can be so tricky, but you have nailed this one, watch out though they can be pretty nasty, mainly if they are protecting their young
