Just been playing around with Photoshop, wasnt to keen on the colour version of this and the background was a little distracting.

Yes, I like this one too, the background removal allows the viewer really concentrate on the subject.

Technically it is a good picture.

Personally, I'd have been inclined to put more of the dog's head in - it looks slightly incomplete, particularly with the additional black space to the left; it makes the overall picture, to what is a great photo, look imbalanced.

Thanks for comments, I do agree Jack, I shot with a fixed 180mm lens and didnt have the room to back up and he was only in this pose for a second, I rushed it a bit so his ear ended up getting clipped! Been trying to get him again but no luck yet!
