Corel Paint Shop Pro X2 Ultimate

I bought this a few weeks ago, and I am loving it!

Very powerful, but so easy to use, if I had got this before I had bought Photoshop, I may not have bought PS .

I got it as I had read loads of great reviews, it was only $80!! and it really is a joy to edit with, I do already have lots of editing software, as I am becoming addicted But this has been the easiest to use, yet so powerful.
You also get lots of Plug- ins and a free copy of Corel Painter Photo Essentials, and other things like a Background remover plug in. Software to recover lost files.

I think anyone whether a beginner to editing, who can use the quick fix menu , so a few clicks and you are done, to the more advanced, I keep finding wonderful things that it can do!

Also the user manual, is easy to understand and not filled with cr@p

I find it wonderful to do Fantasy type editing on

So a massive thumbs up from me!

It has a great workflow, handles RAW files,so I can upload, view discard, sort and then edit quickly and easily.

Here is more details and you can download it Free for 30 days

I haven't used CS4 once since I got it!

Re: Corel Paint Shop Pro X2 Ultimate

I've got the Corel Paint Shop Pro Photo XI and I hardly use it but as you say it's fairly easy to use and a lot cheaper than other brands. Need to read up and see what it can do really.

Re: Corel Paint Shop Pro X2 Ultimate

Yep, I really do think it is brilliant, and excellent value

PD, I had an old version ages ago, but this new version is fab!

Can I ask why you don't like Corel products? did I miss something?

Re: Corel Paint Shop Pro X2 Ultimate

Not sure if anyone said they didn't like Corel Moonie, well I didn't, but I did say an excellent Jasc Paint Shop Pro lost a lot of fans when Corel acquired it. They changed the interface, bloated it up etc. and it seemed to drop off the radar compared to Adobe Elements and Photoshop. Following your recommendation I said I'd give it a chance and have a look. They are obviously attempting to reclaim lost ground against Adobe.
