Cranes at the park

These birds have been at the park for 8 days now..I have been there every day and trying to get a really good photo of those Roseate Spoonbills....but they are just too far away...You can see the lake is surrounded by dead Dog Fennel stalks that hinder focusing and impossible for me to walk through...I can't walk very well either, need a walker...how can I get that illusive photo I want? Any ideas? Shirley

Re: Cranes at the park

Spoonbills seem to be quite hard to get close to. My best advise would be to just wait for as long as you're able and hope that they come closer. Is the area tidal? If soe you may find as the tide comes in it pushes them closer to the land, and that way if you're waiting quietly and hidden, you may get much closer shots.

Lovely sight though!

Re: Cranes at the park

Good advice there. Many's the time I have just sat quietly, sometimes for hours, just to get that shot - either that or a long lens.
