Re: How much do you charge for prints?

Thanks Steve

Where do you order from - anywhere in particular?

Reason I ask is I am thinking about doing some free sessions for a few neighbours, and not sure what to charge them for prints..

Re: How much do you charge for prints?

Hi Azz

I use a local professional printers. I e-mail the files to them and collect in person the next day or later.

If they have a problem, colour matching for example, they phone me and ask for my input. It costs a bit more but they are worth it.

Re: How much do you charge for prints?

I am not charging yet, but I plan to charge a little more than that (if I ever get that far) and I'll also be charging a session fee which will include a print credit to ensure that I get a reasonable fee for my time. I wouldn't want to spend time setting up, taking photos, editing, ordering etc then only get an order for 1 small print!

I started to make my photobox pro gallery thingy so that I culd upload photos, choose prices and let customers choose their own products, but after the prints I received from them recently I have changed my mind about using them.
They were my first set of prints I have had printed. They were mono and fairly bright but they came back all completely blown - white faces with over sharpened eyes.
I got reprints done by Loxley and the difference was astounding. 89p for 5 x7 rather than 19p from Photobox, but totally totally worth it.
